Tuesday’s Children was founded to promote long-term healing in all those directly impacted by the events of Tuesday, September 11, 2001. Our mission today is to keep the promise to those children and families while serving and supporting communities affected by acts of terror worldwide. Since 2001, Tuesday’s Children has helped more than 15,000 individuals impacted by 9/11 and other tragedies, including: families of 9/11 victims, responders and military service members; international youth; global victims of terrorism; and local communities, such as Newtown, CT, Las Vegas, NV and Parkland, FL. Over the years, we have built upon our proven methodology, elevated our platform of programs and services, and established new ways to broaden our organization’s reach and impact. We have worked to research, validate, and codify Tuesday’s Children’s enduring approach to long-term healing so that we may help other communities in need.
Tuesday’s Children has successfully implemented a longitudinal and adaptive approach to assisting children and families impacted by the September 11, 2001 tragedy and subsequent incidents of terrorism and traumatic loss. Tuesday’s Children’s time-tested, long-term approach—forged in the aftermath of 9/11—enables families and communities torn apart by tragedy to heal, recover and thrive for a lifetime. Through evidence-based programs—trauma and grief support, youth mentoring, mental health and wellness services, skills-building workshops, career resources, parenting advisement, youth leadership development, community and family engagement events, and volunteerism opportunities—we strengthen resilience, foster post-traumatic growth and build common bonds. Tuesday’s Children’s Model gives our service populations the critical skills needed for their successful progression into a happy, healthy and prosperous future. We link indivuals and families with similar experiences, creating a community of support, which has had a profoundly positive impact on their collective healing.
We at Thareja believe it’s our duty to stand behind worthwhile organizations, operating for the greater good of society. We help Tuesday’s Children further their goals by helping them manage and maintain their digital presence and digital training programs.
