COVID-19 is stressful. All the damn hand washing, sanitizing and social distancing.
I finally see the light at the end of the tunnel
The purpose for writing this post is to share my experience. I recently received 2 doses of the Moderna vaccine.
My Symptoms from the Moderna Vaccine:
1st Dose – I felt almost nothing. After the shot I kept with my day and even came home, did office work and worked out. Lifted weights etc. I think in doing so kept my arm moving and the pain in the shot area was minimal to none. I did have a minor headache that went away after the first few hours. I did take a short nap that day.
2nd Dose – The pain in my should was there but went away a day later. I was able to work all day. But I did experience body aches and a slight chill the second day. But after that the 2nd day after the shot I was back to 100%!
I got mine through a facility for work. It was administrated through RiteAid.
The form was simple, here is the example in case you are curious:
I also got my Mom & Dad vaccinated as they are older, in their 70s. They are well.
It was a hustle trying to get an appointment. I registered at almost every hospital for them, and did the NJ state registration.
This is the link to RWJ Hospital in NJ that worked for me:
At the time of writing this post Costco, CVS, Walgreens are also now offering shots in NJ, NY & Florida.
The vaccines work
Both RNA vaccines have shown an efficacy around 95% after two doses; the Pfizer vaccine had an efficacy of 52% after just one dose.
The vaccine is safe
It is safe for most people. At the time of me writing this post, millions of people have received the vaccine.
I want to mention if you have any kind of specific condition such as you are pregnant or about to be pregnant or you have had serious reactions to other vaccines you should get your doctors advice. If it makes you feel better you should contact your doctor with any questions.
- Unfortunately nutrition isn’t a replacement for the vaccine.
- Get it even if you have been infected. It won’t change your DNA.
- It’s not made using aborted fetal tissues. Anyone saying so is spreading rumors.
